Invitation to the ESTA-Festival-String-Orchestra 2012

 

The ESTA Foundation has the pleasure to invite young and very advanced students of all ESTA-branches to participate in the ESTA-Festival-String Orchestra 2012 (It is a condition, that the teacher of the student must be an ESTA-Member)

 

The main goal is to show excelence of chamber orchestra playing and to perform at the 40th International ESTA Conference in Poreč, Croatia on October 16 - 20, 2012 organized by the ESTA branch „Croatian String Teachers Association“ (http://www.hdgp.hr/engleski.htm) The project will be divided in 2 parts

16-10-2012 40e ESTA-conferentie Kroatië

Van 16 tot 20 oktober 2012 vindt voor de 40e keer de internationale ESTA-conferentie plaats, in Porec in Kroatië. ESTA-Nederland wil haar leden stimuleren het congres te bezoeken en biedt aan voor de eerste 10 aanmeldingen het congresgeld te betalen! Aanmelden voor 1 juni 2012 bij de secretaris Cora van den Berg.

The competition is open to young people aged 12-19 in three separate classes according to age. The composition must be for solo violin, viola, cello or bass or for an ensemble of up to four of the same instrument.

All the compositions that reach the finals will be performed during the weekend of 13th/14th October as part of the Purcell School 'Strings and Things' weekend. The winning compositions will be performed by students at the Purcell School at the ESTA Conference on Sunday November 11th 2012.
